Ashmei 2 in 1 Short

This ‘semi compression’ short from Ashmei is a nice solution for those who want to combine the performance and support of tighter running gear with a modesty-friendly outer layer that won’t ride up. The interior shorts are made from merino wool, which is stretchy, comfortably soft and regulates heat really well. The inner shorts hold the quads firmly, without being constrictive, although the hems are a bit tight, so choose your size carefully. The outer short is a simple affair with understated graphics, smooth, thin material and laser-cut holes for added ventilation. There’s also a generous, iPhone-sized, zipped pocket on the rear. They’re a little warmer than a single layer, making them better for lighter running or as a colder-weather option.

A comfy, supportive and practical short with nice detailing.

Performance 4/5
Value 3/5
Overall 3/5
