Erdinger Alkoholfrei Sports Drink Review
Erdinger Alkoholfrei is an alcohol-free beer being touted as an isotonic sports drink. We give it the taste test
£1.60 for 500ml
Bavarian brewery Erdinger has taken the unusual step of touting its alcohol-free variety as an isotonic post-training and post-racing sports drink, and it’s sponsoring nine British triathlon events this season to celebrate the beer’s launch in the UK.
Each 500ml bottle is actually full of good stuff – polyphenols, vitamins and minerals – as well as being free of fat, cholesterol, chemicals and preservatives. A cold bottle goes down really well after a hot training session and it tastes just like regular Erdinger, only a fair bit sweeter.
Not for every day, but a delicious, refreshing post-race treat
