Louis Garneau Course Cycle Helmet Review
Our verdict on the Louis Garneau Course aero road helmet
Louis Garneau Course
The Course is designed to be aero without being ugly. Louis Garneau claims it’s halfway between a regular road helmet and a TT helmet, and that it’s more aero than the Giro Air Attack. We don’t have a wind tunnel to hand but the Course is much quieter at speed, suggesting that air flows over it more smoothly.
The venting is excellent, so it’s ideal for hot events when a TT helmet would be unbearable. It’s legal for drafting races, too, so this could be your do-it-all race lid. It’s a touch heavy, at 334g for the large size, and some testers found it more secure and comfortable than others. It’s well worth a look, but make sure it suits your head.
Effective but imperfect do-it-all aero road helmet
