Skechers GOrun Ride Running Shoes Review
We give Skechers’ GOrun Ride midfoot running trainers the Tarmac test
Skechers GOrun Ride
Designed for midfoot striking, the GOrun Ride has a unique footbed that feels lower at the heel and toes than the arches, giving impressive and confident support from impact to push-off.
Flexibility is superb, with the outsole’s arrangement of round ‘sensors’ giving great feedback on different surfaces. Despite this – and the shoe’s low weight (243g/pair, UK 9.5) – the Ride also offers plush cushioning for long-run comfort.
The upper is supportive and has a thin but soft lining that makes sockless running comfy, but it isn’t the airiest out there. Overall, the GOrun Ride is a successful and practical compromise between the comfort and support of a regular trainer and the road feel and flexibility of a natural-style shoe.
A great midfoot-friendly shoe combining support, light weight and flexibility
