The new Avenger Middle-distance Triathlon is set for its inaugural race on 23 June.

Avenger TriathlonRaceways Events have announced a new middle-distance triathlon set to spice up the UK triathlon calendar this June. Set in the stunning grounds of Ragley Hall right in the heart of England, The Avenger takes place on quiet roads and paths and features something for all athletes whether you’re a first-time middle-distance eventer or a seasoned triathlete wanting to race in a stunning setting.

The undulating bike route is part of the National Road Race Championship cycling course, the swim is in Ragley Hall Lake which is already used by triathletes for open water swimming and the running route takes place in the Hall’s scenic grounds and is mainly off-road.

The event is great value for money at only £99 for entry, while all the profits from The Avenger will go to the organiser’s charity – Kids Run Free (www.kidsrunfree.co.uk) – which Raceways Events (www.raceways.eu) set up to get more children active and passionate about sport. Every weekend they have hundreds of children running at their Kids Run Free events across the Midlands.
