Celtman! Extreme Scottish Triathlon prepares to open entries for 2013.
Celtman! Extreme Scottish Triathlon is set for its second outing on Saturday 6 July 2012 and applications will be opening soon for this unique event. An iron-distance race, inspired by the legendary Norseman event, Celtman! is held in the wild, remote, mountainous and spectacular Wester Ross/Torridon area of North West Scotland.
Applications will open on 1 to 16 November. The event is likely to be oversubscribed after the momentum generated by 2012’s inaugural race and the interest organizers Durty Events have had from athletes all across the world wanting to take part in this stunning challenge. Like Norseman, Durty Events will then run a ballot to determine the lucky winners of the 175 slots.
The 2012 race was a huge hit, with one athlete commenting: “I just wanted to get in touch and say what a phenomenal experience your race was. I truly believe this event is going to plant itself firmly onto the events calendar as one of the ‘must do’ Triathlons in a person’s life.”
The entry link will appear on the race website – www.cxtri.com, where racers can also find the draft race manual for 2013.
