Hercules Events announce entries open for new Olympic distance triathlon in Hertfordshire.
The company, which have recently applied for BTF Quality Mark accreditation, released details of the first Hercules 1.0 triathlon:
Hercules Events are proud to announce the opening of entries to their Olympic distance open water triathlon at beautiful Stanborough Park on 20 May 2012. This is the first Triathlon that has ever been allowed at this stunning location. Places are limited for this conveniently located and challenging event, so entrants are encouraged to enter now to avoid disappointment.
The event promises to be a challenging and enjoyable one which is sure to become a regular fixture in the triathlon calendar. Set in beautiful Stanborough Park (just one mile from junction 4 of the A1(M)); a 1500 metre open water swim in Stanborough south lake, followed by a 40 km cycle through the stunning Hertfordshire countryside, finishing with a 10k run within Stanborough Park.
BTF accredited organiser, Gifty Enright, said: “We are very excited about the Hercules 1.0 triathlon at Stanborough Park. We have found an ideal location and have worked very hard to deliver a quality event that is 100 per cent focused on our athletes. The event site could not be more convenient, and the course has been painstakingly designed to ensure challenge and safety for the participants, including the closure of Stanborough road. We expect the Hercules 1.0 at Stanborough to become a firm fixture in the triathlon calendar.”
