New Middle Distance Triathlon Event Announced
The Avenger is a new middle distance triathlon event set to take place on 23rd June in Warwickshire.
The Avenger triathlon will take place on 23rd June and will be located at the stunning Ragley Hall in rural Warwickshire.
Ragley Hall provides the ideal location for this new triathlon event. Right in the heart of the country, it’s easy to get to with ample parking and the swim (1.2 miles) takes place in Ragley Hall lake, already used for open water swimming by The Evesham
Vale Triathlon Club.
The 90K (56 miles) bike course is a beautiful undulating two lap course that takes in mainly quiet roads and passes through a number of small villages. It is also part of the National Road Race Championship cycling course!
The 21K (13.1 miles) run takes place in the grounds of the hall itself and passes through three laps of stunning parkland, much of it off-road.
For family and friends cheering you on, there’s a lot to do. A day pass will give use of the house, an adventure playground, the sculpture trail and once all the swim waves have been, the lake will go back to its daily use with pedaloes and rowing boats available to hire.
There are plenty of refreshments with a café and stalls and outdoor picnic areas.
There will be a trade village and refreshments on the day, plus a medal and T-shirt and swim hat for all starters, with chip timing as well and a great goody bag.
