The Running Show 2012, based at Sandown Park, is now to be held at the end of November.
The Running Show, due to be held on 27and 28 October, will now take place on 24 and 25 November to allow more exhibitors to be part of the action and runners, both new and old, to fill the void left by the end of London 2012.
Visitors to the show will be able to gain valuable information from major running brands. Whether the visitor is new to running or a marathon veteran, The Running Show will provide information on training plans, choosing the right apparel, nutrition options and much, much more. For the first year ever the Running Show will be held at Sandown Park in Esher. New also to 2012 is the fact that entry will be free to those who pre-register here. For those turning up on the day it will be £12 on the door.
After a successful run at London Olympia, the organisers of the Running Show are moving it to Sandown Park. The facilities will allow a whole host of exciting activities and seminars, including a 2k family run and a 10k run on 25 November.
The new venue – Sandown Park – will also enable a fantastic range of in-hall activities, delivering a great experience to all runners, from newbies to veterans. It will feature exhibits by top running brands and retailers, seminars and workshops tailored to all levels of runner. There will be specialist shoe testing areas, allowing visitors to find their perfect running shoe.
David Townsend, founder of The Running Show says: “Running is growing exponentially in the UK and it’s bound to grow further following the buzz we’ve all been left with post-Olympics. This year’s Running Show is set to provide a one stop shop for all runners, whether looking to complete their first 5k or running their tenth marathon. The change in venue to Sandown Park, where we hold our popular Triathlon Show, allows us to offer a whole host of events, ranging from workshops on training, to how to choose the right shoes, to training plans to get you from the couch to a 10k. It will give runners the opportunity to gain valuable information from major running brands.”
Those that pre-register will get free entry. Should visitors show up on the day it will be £12 and under 16s go free.
There is car and secure cycle parking at Sandown Park. The car park is £5 for the day. Those arriving by train should go to Esher station where it is a ten minute walk to the venue.
