Turas Announced As 70.3 Ireland Bike Sponsor
Irish cycling brand Turas Bikes announced as official bike sponsor for Ironman 70.3 Ireland.
Irish bike brand, Turas Bikes are the new official bike partner for Ironman 70.3 Ireland. The event. which takes place in Galway on 2 September this year. will see 2,000 competitors from across the globe swim, cycle and run 70.3 miles to complete one the world’s most exhilarating one-day challenges.
Mark McKeigue, Director of Turas Bikes, said: “We are really excited about partnering with the iconic Ironman 70.3 Ireland and are delighted to be supporting such a fantastic event. We love our sport, and want to help facilitate the growth of it, ensuring that as many people are able to get out and about on their bikes as possible. Formed in early 2011, Turas Bikes were officially launched at Ironman 70.3 Ireland last year which means that the event has a particular significance for them. Their simple objective is to make good bikes made of high quality materials, and to ensure that their customers are able to purchase a bike that best suits their individual needs. Ironman 70.3 Ireland will also be a number of World Championship qualification slots up for grabs for the more competitive athlete. The race begins with a 1.9k swim in Galway Bay before being followed by a fast 90K bike course through the beautiful Galway countryside. The 21.1km run follows the coastline of Galway Bay from Blackrock to the Claddagh, passing a number of local landmarks, enabling the athletes to take in some of the beautiful surrounding scenery.
