Wild Warrior Himalayan Rush is back for its 7th edition bringing to Asia it’s popular ‘brut-iful’ (brutal+beautiful) races. Often referred to as the best off road triathlon in Asia, WW Himalayan Rush promises a picturesque yet challenging set of races across triathlons, duathlons and trail runs in Pokhara, Nepal.

The event attracts participants both pro and first timers, from across the globe. Some of the most popular countries participants come from are UK, USA, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Mongolia, Bangladesh, Thailand and India. Each year, they see between 300 – 500 athletes come together for one hell of an adventure under the shadows of the Himalayan Range.

The different races lined up this year are, a Standard Triathlon in Individual and Team Relay {1.5kms swim, 40kms bike, 10km run}, a Sprint Triathlon {750ms swim, 20km cycle, 5km run}, Duathlon {40km bike, 10km run}, and 2 Trail Runs {10km and 5km}. With its uniquely challenging mix of an open lake water swim at the pristine Lake Begnas, along with the completely off road trails, long winding ups and downs on hills, the route takes you through the villages and life of rural Nepal. The residents of the villages double up as highly encouraging and friendly cheerleaders throughout the race, adults and children alike.

Co Founder, Maneesh Shreshta says “Our main motivation for this event was two things, our love for outdoor sports and Nepal! It wasn’t very difficult for the two to converge, because of Nepal’s abundant natural beauty. We’re now at our 7 th edition and couldn’t be happier. We continue to strive to bring a brutal but beautiful experience to all our participants.”

Co Founder, Wild Warrior, Varun Gunaseelan adds, “Pokhara is easy to get to with just a 20 minute flight from Kathmandu, and it’s elevation is actually lower than the capital making the temperature very pleasant, and not very cold. Many don’t realize that you don’t need high altitude training for our races, even Lake Begnas stands at just 650m, which means comfortable swimming conditions too.”

After the race, participants can enjoy zip lining, paragliding and lake side drinks and food too! Register now at
