Hosted in a strikingly pretty area of Idaho, the Ironman Coeur d’Alene is framed by forestry and parks and offers much to do outside of the triathlon. The two-day run takes place in and around the Lake Coeur d’Alene and is well loved for its beauty and atmosphere.
Laguna Phuket Triathlon
Asia’s premier triathlon dates back more than 20 years and is well known for its exquisite sights and scenery. As well as having some steep, challenging stretches, the Laguna Phuket has also attracted some big-name athletes in the past. Join the elite by tackling this course.
Escape from Alcatraz: San Francisco, California
This race in San Francisco holds much appeal for both the athlete and the traveller. Starting near Alcatraz Island, the course also features an 18-mile ride with plenty of challenges. The event is so popular that participation is now decided by a lottery, so it’s worth signing up early.
Challenge Wanaka: New Zealand
This breathtakingly beautiful course is set in a New Zealand hot spot that is a family-friendly haven not to be missed. The course itself is considered a tough one with a 112-mile bike ride that will challenge the most seasoned triathlete, and with the exciting location it’s not surprise that this is a much-loved event each year.
