The window for open-water training before the first triathlons of the season in the UK has dwindled over the past couple of years, due to bad weather. Finding a good pair of swim socks can help get your season off to a flying start, however, and we reckon you’d be hard pressed to find any better than these.

First off, the socks are a really snug fit, which helps avoid water pooling and maximises insulation. Secondly, the fabric is really thin and lightweight, making the socks feel like a second skin rather than an added accessory.  Finally, as well as keeping your feet toasty warm, the socks also have a rough sole to them that’s great for walking on stones and in mud, giving protection and grip when entering rivers or lakes.
