We review this smart, fuel-carrying race belt.
iFitness Ultimate II Race Belt
Of course it’s essential to get your big kit purchases right for racing: bike, wetsuit, run shoes. But the smaller details like this race belt can also make a huge difference, keeping you comfortable and fuelled up. As hard as we tried we couldn’t find fault with this race belt. It’ll hold four gels in elastic loops and two or three bars in the main pocket. There are also rubber-backed slots in the main pocket to stow a credit card, phone, keys and so on, and toggles to attach your race number under the pouch. It’s stretchy, snug and adjustable so that even when fully loaded up it won’t slip or bounce around, though like every race belt we’ve ever tried, it can make your kit bunch up underneath when running. It’s also a bit more expensive than your average race belt, but is so well thought out that we think it’s worth a bit extra.
Small kit buy that could make a big difference to your next race.
