Kalf has today announced the launch of its new 2018 winter collection. Catering for both male and female cyclists, the range comprises of a Club Softshell Jacket, Flux Printed Long Sleeve Jersey, Club Merino Jersey, Club Women’s Bib Tights as well as unisex ZERO and FIVE Gloves.
Like all of Kalf’s apparel, the collection combines functionality with style to offer the level of detailing you would expect from a luxury brand – whilst offering outstanding value.
Leading this year’s collection is the Kalf Club Softshell jacket. Available in both mens and womens specific cuts, these provide a strong defense against winter using a supple and breathable fabric. Every single panel of the Kalf Club Softshell uses high stretch windproof fabric from eVent, specifically designed for aerobically demanding activities and chosen expressly for its high breathability rating. Wind stops at the fabric membrane while perspiration is instantly vented out and a DWR coating ensures water rolls off the jacket. With the best fit in mind, the Kalf Club Softshell has a contoured 3D shaped hem and articulated sleeves for all day comfort. The protective deluge flap over the two large rear pockets prevents any stray weather getting to your valuables whilst reflective detailing keep you visible in the dark.
Subtle fades and geometric lines, on a super-soft brushed back fabric, the new Kalf Flux Printed Long Sleeve Jersey is an aerodynamic jersey with light insulation and a high level of breathability. The winding seams of the arm have complimentary iridescent reflective logos to integrate style and safety. To maximise the wear of the jersey, it can either be worn on its own next to the skin or combined with layers to keep you going through the colder months.
The Kalf Club Merino Jersey uses a special knitting process that creates a 3D structure, leaving the super soft merino on the inside of the jersey and the polyester on the outside. The polyester acts as a pump, drawing water away from your skin and leaving the merino inside feeling dry and warm. This cosy and highly breathable jersey will become a three season staple, seeing you through crisp spring mornings, chilly autumn evenings, as well as into deep winter with a base layer and windproof gilet.
The key to warm rides is a warm core. With this in mind, the wonderfully high cut front of the Kalf Club Women’s Bib Tights has been designed with a cosy brush-backed fabric to keep you snug, providing warmth for your core. The cosy front is complimented by a highly breathable mesh back to help vent body vapours, keeping you dry and regulating body temperature. The contoured legs have been constructed out of mid-weight thermal Roubaix fabric which has a luxuriously soft, brushed lining to provide insulation and warmth. The high modulus stretch of the fabric helps to compress the legs and reduce muscle fatigue over long rides. Perhaps most importantly for any legwear, the chosen chamois is the Elastic Interface Bastogne pad suitable for rides up to 6 hours. Because these are winter tights, there are large reflective chevrons on the calf to help keep you visible in the gloom and dark.
Following popular demand, the Kalf ZERO gloves and Kalf FIVE gloves return to Kalf’s latest Autumn Winter collection but with one change. Now available in unisex the ZERO and FIVE gloves are designed to keep hands warm and dry with waterproof material and Thinsulate wadding, as well as deep cuffs and a reflective strip over the knuckles for extra visibility.
