We review Mavic’s top-end Plasma SLR Helmet.
Mavic Plasma SLR Helmet
For their first range of helmets, Mavic have eschewed light weight in favour of a comfortable and well-vented model. Despite weighing in at 318g, the weight is barely noticeable. The well-fitting inner shape, adjustable dial-locking cradle, fast-wicking pads and wide vents mean it will keep you cool and comfy for hours where lesser helmets start to pinch and get sweaty. The large vents are possible through a carbon wing, which is laced into the foam and ensures maximum protection in a crash. For those who don’t dig Mavic’s trademark yellow, there’s also a stunning matt black model.
Perfectly comfortable, cool and compact though heavier than other top-end lids.
