Swiss running shoe company On upgrade Cloudsurfer shoe for 2014
On have released the first picture of the 2014 On Cloudsurfer shoe, which has upgraded rubber on the outsole to maximise shoe life and a new smart-foam net lining designed to provide optimum comfort and humidity control.
The new shoe is available in a Dawn/Lavender option for women (purple with lavender trim) as well as the white Prism edition.
The men’s shoe is available in Sky/Mandarin (pictured above) and Asphalt/Sulphur (grey with yellow trim).
Here’s what On has to say about the Cloudsurfer:
Equipped with On’s unique and patented CloudTec® system, the new On Cloudsurfers remain as light and agile as ever, and as effective as ever in converting running energy into forward momentum, both in training and in competition. That’s because the On is a running shoe which blends what no traditional running shoe has ever managed to combine: a soft sand-like landing and the kind of explosive pushoff that is usually only experienced on a genuine running track.
The new On Cloudsurfer has also undergone some technical modifications to make it even better. The rubber formula used to make the unique CloudTec® sole has been further enhanced to ensure minimum wear and maximum shoe life. And the smart-foam net lining has been specifically designed to fit the wearer’s foot for optimum comfort and humidity control. So all in all, the new On Cloudsurfers really are a major step forward in every respect.
“The adaptive sole balances every pace and truly trains the running muscles,” explains Olivier Bernhard, multiple Ironman champion and co-founder of On. “The On Cloudsurfer really does encourage its wearer to adopt a more efficient running style and greater body stability. And the new colour combinations will just increase everyone’s desire to get into those training sessions!”
The Cloudsurfer weighs 260/290 grams (UK women’s size 5, UK men’s size 8) and is available for women in Lavender/Dawn and the all-white Prism Edition and for men in Asphalt/Sulphur and Sky/Mandarin from December 2013 at an RRP of £120.
