We review Newton’s light weight MV2 racing running shoes.
Newton MV2 Racing Shoes
At just 164g, the Newton MV2 is the lightest shoe in the company’s line-up and while these racing flats lack the support of the Sir Isaacs, Newton’s natural running philosophy is well intact. Like all Newton’s shoes, the MV2 features lugs on the outsole that guide the runner into landing on the midfoot before levering to offer a positive toe-off. Here, the natural running feel is also exaggerated by the MV2’s soles being completely parallel to the ground. As the lugs have a lower profile than other Newton shoes, the MV2 is actually a great place to get into mid/forefoot style of running – though building up gradually is a must for new Newton wearers. Flexible, springy and comfortable, there’s no problem getting immediately into a high-cadence run, and the light weight makes them a great choice for shorter courses.
If you’re into Newtons, these light, fast shoes will take your running to the next level.
