The fourth edition of the Austria eXtreme Triathlon on June 23 will again bring athletes from all over the world to Austria’s most selective route. They will find a new final section on the bike leg.
In August 2017, the final part of the bike route in the area Sölkpass was severely damaged by a storm. Since the repair work is still in progress, this year’s bike route will lead through a no less attractive route. Over the mountain pass Hohentauern it turns into the Paltental, past the impressive castle Strechau, up to Oppenberg, finally approaching from the north the usual transition zone at the Sölksperre.
Of course, it remains the huge challenge to all participants, with a bike course over 210 km and 3,500 meters in altitude.
