British Triathlon confirm entries for the British Triathlon Championships to go live on Thursday 14 March.
The British Championships, held in Liverpool on 13-14 July will be the Great Britain Age-Group Team’s third qualification event for the 2013 London ITU Standard Distance Age-Group Triathlon World Championships.
An exclusive 10-day priority entry period available to Home Nation members (members of Triathlon England, Welsh Triathlon and Triathlon Scotland) will begin on Thursday 14 March 2013. There will be over 2,000 entries available.
All Home Nation members who subscribe to receive membership e-newsletters will receive an email when entry opens. Full details will also be published on www.britishtriathlon.org
It is important that members check their membership is current and valid to ensure they can take advantage of this offer. Once that priority entry period is over entries will open up to the general public.
The British Triathlon Championships Liverpool is the pinnacle of triathlon competition in Great Britain and will incorporate four British Championships:
- British Elite Sprint Triathlon Championships
- British Youth and Junior Triathlon Championships
- British Paratriathlon Championships
- British Standard Distance Age-Group Triathlon Championships

Triathlon Team Relay
The event will also include a triathlon team relay event with teams of four competitors completing a super sprint triathlon one after the other. The triathlon team relay will be a perfect introduction to the sport for novices and newcomers.
Teams can be entered in the following categories:
- All Men
- All Women
Teams can be from many different sources including clubs, regions or just a group of friends; it doesn’t matter as long as everyone has a fantastic race.
The triathlon team relay will take place the day after the British Standard Distance Age-Group Championships, giving competitors an opportunity to race twice over the weekend and make the most of their time in Liverpool.
