The Castle Triathlon Series is working in collaboration with the British Triathlon Federation for its UK events from 2016. This will see events permitted by the National Governing Body and help continue the growth of triathlon in the UK.
Until now, Castle Triathlon Series has worked with the Federation Francaise de Triathlon for its French event (Chateau de Chantilly) and Triathlon Ireland for Lough Cutra Castle Triathlon in Southern Ireland so it was a natural extension to work with the National Governing Body for Triathlon in Britain:
– Cholmondeley Castle Triathlon (Cheshire)
– Bastion iron distance at Hever Castle (Kent, July)
– Castle Howard Triathlon (Yorkshire, known for its part in Bailey Matthews achieving his first triathlon and going on to win the BBC Sport Personality of the Year award)
– Hever Castle Triathlon (Kent)
Triathlon Ireland has recently commissioned Castle Triathlon Series to create a school programme for the Irish market after the coup of creating the first ever curriculum linked school resource, Tri Knights, downloaded and used by thousands of schools in the UK.
The partnership will see its first event in collaborative action as the Pop-Up City Triathlon in Canary Wharf on Monday 23rd May 2016.
