On 10th September 2016, 603 cyclists set off on Deloitte Ride Across Britain.

Land’s End to John O’Groats is one of the UK’s most epic challenges. One thousand miles end-to-end grips the imagination and drives cyclists to push themselves to their mental and physical limits; to achieve goals beyond their dreams. The emotional but inspiring stories reveal that anyone can take on the challenge with a bit of grit, determination and a sense of humour.

“Yes it hurts, but it’s still not the worst pain I’ve been through… Losing someone is the worst pain you’re ever going to go through.”

“Not only did it change his fitness, he’s also changed his eating habits… from eating doughnuts at dinner time to eating a jacket potato… you know, it completely changed him.”

“Everyone made so many friends because we’re all there doing the same thing and everyone was there to help each other…”

“Oh my goodness! We absolutely flew in that last section… that feels amazing… that is the furthest I’ve ever cycled… and I’m alive, I feel good, I’m smiling!”

“I feel now like there’s nothing I can’t do… I’ve ridden the length of the country.”

Last year Deloitte Ride Across Britain raised more than £1million for good causes. The Ride raises the highest fundraising per head in the UK, for a mass participation event*. It is fully supported – training and preparation plans, luggage transfer, base camps, delicious food, regular pit stops, hot showers, medical and mechanical support and chaperones – and undoubtedly one of the best ways to experience the country.

On 9th September this year, a group of 800 cyclists will set off on Deloitte Ride Across Britain 2017. There are still a handful of places for anyone who wants to sign up.
