GO TRI, the low-cost, beginner-friendly triathlon format, returns to the National Water Sports Centre in Nottingham next month. Four events will feature, starting from 17 May.
The Tuesday night races are designed for beginners and cover short distances that are achievable with just a little training and preparation. The events take place in open water, on a flat, closed circuit for the bike and around the country park for the run. As well as the super-short Splash & Dash races, there is a Super Sprint League, where lapsed or more experienced athletes are welcome to enjoy the ‘no-frills’ format and compete for League prizes if they complete all four events.
GO-TRI distances:
Splash & Dash: 200m Swim, 5km Bike, 1.5km Run
Super Sprint League: 400m Swim, 10km Bike, 3km Run
Event dates: Tuesdays 17 May, 07 June, 14 June & 12 July
