Helen Jenkins to race in Huub Axena wetsuit at ITU London this weekend
Jenkins, who has been at the top of the sport for the past decade, will now race in HUUB’s female-specific Axena wetsuit.
Jenkins joins a world-class team of athletes using HUUB’s cutting edge products. The team includes Olympic champion Alistair Brownlee (GBR) and 2012 ITU World Triathlon Series champion Jonathan Brownlee (GBR), along with Ironman world champion Frederik Van Lierde(BEL) and 2014 Ironman Melbourne champion Caroline Steffen (SWI).
Jenkins currently sits in third position overall in the 2014 ITU World Triathlon Series following a good start to the season with a third place finish at round one in Auckland, New Zealand, and second in round two in Cape Town, South Africa. Jenkins’ next appearance on the world stage will be at the ITU World Triathlon Series event in London this weekend.
Jenkins said: “I am so excited to join the Huub family and race in their wetsuits. I tested the Axena and it is without doubt the fastest wetsuit I have swum in. The technology and fit of this wetsuit is second to none. I am looking forward to my first race in the Axena this weekend at the ITU World Triathlon Series event in London’s Hyde Park.”
Dean Jackson, Huub CEO, said: “We are extremely excited to have Helen join the HUUB family of world beating triathletes. I have respected Helen as an athlete for years and jumped at the chance to work with her. I am excited to have her on board as an ambassador for HUUB wetsuits. Supporting athletes of Helen’s calibre is vital to help us to continue developing the fastest wetsuits in the sport of triathlon.”
