Ironman UK 2014 sells out in 50 hours.

Ironman UK course guideIRONMAN 2014 opened its entry to pre-registered athletes on Friday 23rd August with all 1400 general entry places sold out in 50 hours.

Such a demand for racing IRONMAN UK demonstrates not only the success of this iconic event staged in Bolton, but also the continued rise in athletes looking for the ultimate challenge, which comprises a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike and 26.2 mile marathon run.

To be held on Sunday 20th July, 2014 will be the 10th annual IRONMAN UK. Bolton will host the event for the 6th successive year and organisers are planning a special celebrations to mark a decade of racing IRONMAN in the UK. The event will once again act as a qualifying event for the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii.

IRONMAN racing continues for 2013, with IRONMAN WALES taking place in Tenby, Pembrokeshire this Saturday 8th September, in what is regarded as one of the toughest yet most beautiful courses in the world.

Entry to IRONMAN WALES 2014, to take place on Sunday 14th September, will open to pre registered athletes next Wednesday 11th September at midday, with general entries opening on Friday 12th September also at midday. The event date has been confirmed as Sunday 14th September 2014.
