Kimbolton triathlon launched

The new triathlon takes place in stunning grounds

Are you ready to test your mettle in a triathlon? The second Kimbolton Triathlon takes place July 21st and is the perfect race for anyone who wants to get a taste for the sport – or who wants to hit a PB over a sprint distance.

Once again taking place in and around Cambridgeshire’s stunning Kimbolton School, the race kicks off with a 400 metre (16 length) pool swim. Up next is the 20km bike. The course is flat and fast, taking in some stunning scenery as it winds its way along a series of beautiful rural roads. Back into the grounds of Kimbolton School and the 5km run is perfect for athletes and spectators alike. Pancake flat and very fast, it is the perfect way to finish a great day for racing.

Before the adult race gets underway we let the future of the sport have a go! The Kimbolton Kids Triathlon encourages young triathletes from the ages of 8-16 to get a taster for the sport. Taking place over a variety of distances (age dependent), the event is a fantastic opportunity to get aspiring youngsters involved in the sport.

Alan Rose, Director of Just Racing, said: “We’re really looking forward to the Kimbolton Triathlon. We’ve built on the success of the race in 2012 and are looking forward to welcoming even more triathletes to the stunning Kimbolton School this year.”

If you’re interested in being part of the Kimbolton Triathlon there are still places available on the start line. It’s just £36 to enter the Adult race (£41 for non-BTF members) and you can get all of the information that you need about the event by clicking here.

There are also places still available in the Kimbolton Kids Triathlon (£14 entry / £15 non-BTF), and you can find all of the information about that race here.
