Athletes taking part in June 18’s ‘Lakesman Triathlon’ around Keswick, in the Lake District, will find the course again running smoothly when it comes to registration, payment and sign-in on the day, thanks to an online solution devised specifically for the event by Flame Concepts, for the third consecutive year.

The Cockermouth-based event and leisure ticketing expert has made the registration journey as painless as possible for the athletes undertaking the swim, cycling and running sports extravaganza, by developing a super-efficient back-end administration and payment system.

Registration is achieved via a specially designed data collection form that captures all key details swiftly and simply, whether the athlete is registering as an individual, or completing the form on behalf of a relay team of three athletes.  The information collected, within just a few minutes, includes medical conditions, contact details and other key facts that organisers need to know.

The sophisticated payment gateway built by Flame Concepts allows the registrant to either pay the entire fee, or opt to pay in three instalments.  They can also take out refund insurance, if they wish. A Worldpay payment gateway manages the financial transaction, with direct payment to the organisers, offering peace of mind and a swift payment process.

Flame Concepts’ software also automatically generates a barcode on email or mobile phone, that can be scanned by stewards, for ease of access to the event and added security during it.

To assist the organisation of the event, a sign-up form for volunteers has been created, to capture times at which each volunteer is available, their contact details and any medical conditions.

The whole system at is seamless, clean and efficient, allowing the Lakes Triathlon organisers to concentrate on event implementation, rather than cumbersome administration.
