Blenheim Triathlon organisers confirm world-beating presence at event.

The organisers of the GE Blenheim Triathlon are proud to announce World Champions Alistair Brownlee, Jonathan Brownlee and Helen Jenkins will be present at the event on Saturday 9 June.

The Triathlon World Champions will be on hand to participate, show their support for fellow competitors, meet spectators, hand out medals and sign autographs, among other activities on the day. It is thanks to GE, the Elite Partner of the Great Britain Triathlon Team, that the trio will be at Blenheim Palace, and it will be one of the last chances to see them before they bid for glory at the Olympic Games this summer.

The UK’s second largest triathlon, the GE Blenheim Triathlon, which is set in the stunning surroundings of Blenheim Palace, will host over 8,000 competitors comprising of elite athletes, celebrities, enthusiasts, first timers and relay teams. Last year saw 15,000 spectators and with this exciting announcement the event expects record numbers turning up for the swimming, biking and running event.

Alistair Brownlee said: “I am really looking forward to the GE Blenheim Triathlon, it will be a great chance to be with everyone that has been supporting us this year and to say thanks ahead of the Games”.

Helen Jenkins said: “It’s always great to share the excitement of race day with fellow competitors and fans, and with only a few months to go until the Olympics it will be fantastic to meet some of the supporters in such an iconic British venue”.

Limited spaces are still available for the Sprint distance and Team Relay plus due to this exciting news, Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research has teamed up with the event to put on an extra Super Sprint distance wave on Sunday 10 June.
