Phynova Six Day London is thrilled to announce the first wave of the male riders competing at this year’s event, which includes some of the top talent from across the globe. In total, 13 current and former UCI World Track Cycling Champions and 9 Olympic medallists will be heading to the Lee Valley VeloPark, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

The fierce male roster is hotting up as reigning Madison World Champions Roger Kluge and Theo Reinhardt are set to take to the track for the very first time at Phynova Six Day London 2018. Fresh from their success at the European Championships in Glasgow, the pair will be looking to add to their rapidly growing medal collection.

Former world team pursuit champion Andy Tennant is joined by Chris Latham, fresh from his Commonwealth bronze in the scratch race earlier this year. The GB riders are set to bring in the home crowd, creating an unbeatable atmosphere in the velodrome.

With arguably the most recognisable hair in the pro-peloton, former Commonwealth Champion and mullet fan, Shane Archbold teams up with fellow Kiwi and former World Champion, Aaron Gate as the latest addition to the team line-up.

Also set to provide some serious competition this year is Commonwealth Games team pursuit Champion, and 2017 World Champion, Kelland O’Brien. He’ll be joined by fellow Aussie and Commonwealth Champion Leigh Howard. The two will be the ones to watch on their debut at a Six Day Series event after they set a blistering world record in the team pursuit in Brisbane this year.

And finally, some fresh British cycling talent is added to the roster in the shape of Fred Wright and Joe Nally –  Wright is European U23 team pursuit Champion – and the pairing will bring some homegrown flair to the velodrome.

The Sprinters line-up is now also complete with the addition of seven-time World Champion and multiple world record holder Francois Pervis and European Championships silver medallist and Aussie come Russian, Shane Perkins.

From the 23-28 October 2018, track cycling’s ultimate spectacle will take hold of the London sporting scene.
