In eerie morning light at 7:30am, the 300 starters get going in the beautiful clear waters at Fornells

The rolling bike course had no long challenges, but with temperatures rising to the mid-20s it was still tough

The top three men were all pretty local: 1. Clemente Alonso (4:05:43); 2. Marcel Zamora (4:07:24); 3. Patxi Vila (4:11:15). Phil was fourth in 4:24:35. In the women’s race, Alexandra Louison came first in 4:44:54; followed by Aline Choretier (5:20:31); and Cristina Prat (5:21:34).
