Keep your winter fitness and competitive edge going by tackling a duathlon series in one of the UK’s prettiest spots.
When Race One = 14 November 2010
For those of you looking for an off-road challenge to keep you busy over winter, the extremely popular Rempstone Roast Series, organised by the lovely people at Results Triathlon, could be just the thing. There are four races in the series, which runs from the middle of November to the middle of February.
As well as individual race winners, there will be a cumulative league table, with competitors using their best three results to decide who walks away with the overall series win.
All races are based at Burnbake Campsite near the Rempstone Estate between Corfe Castle and Studland and take place in the grounds of the privately owned estate –land protected by Natural England (which gives you an idea of the beauty of the course). The run and bike routes are a mixture of sand, gravel, mud and Tarmac, so will really test your core stability.
Race One has a 2-mile cross-country run, a 10-mile MTB on bridle way trails and a further 2-mile cross-country run. Visit Results Triathlon for further information and online entry details.
