The teaser trailer for Impossible has been released ahead of the film’s premiere at the 10th Sheffield Adventure Film Festival…
It would be hard to pack more inspiration into 90 minutes. Silver Medal winning Paralympic Cyclist Karen Darke and award-winning adventure sports film director, Lukasz Warzecha, will present the documentary about overcoming challenges that seem ‘impossible’. Producers Polished Project have released the teaser trailer (see below) ahead of the premiere at Sheffield Adventure Film Festival on Friday 20th March at 21.00.
Former England Rugby Captain Catherine Spencer will also present the short film Valeur about her attempt to climb her first 4,000m mountains for The Endure Foundation.
Impossible examines how we psychologically tackle apparently insurmountable challenges through the eyes of some of Britain’s most renowned adventurers and athletes. Karen Darke provides the backdrop to the film as she tackles an Ironman challenge alongside Guinness record-breaking Spanish athlete Jose Manuel for his 90th ironman in a year.
This is punctuated with interviews and insights about motivation and the resilience to keep going towards far-reaching goals, with the world’s greatest living explorer Sir Ranulph Fiennes, multiple World Ironman Champion Chrissie Wellington, founder of Climbers Against Cancer, John Ellison and respected sports psychologist Dr Steve Peters, author of the best-selling book, The Chimp Paradox.
The film session will be approximately 45 minutes followed by a 45 minute audience Q&A with these two remarkable women about their careers and achievements. You can buy tickets (£8.50/£6) here.
