Getbuzzing natural energy bars, have teamed up with GBR long distance age group triathlete Amy Kilpin
Getbuzzing are delighted to be supporting Amy Kilpin on her road to triathlon success, as she gears up for a big year which will see her competing for Great Britain in her age group at the European Long Distance Triathlon Championships this September.
Amy appeared in our Reach Your Race Weight feature in Issue 63 where she spoke about the benefits working with a nutritionist had given her in the lead up to her first Ironman in 2012.
Kate Wallace, Founder and Owner of Getbuzzing, said: “We are really thrilled to be working with Amy. There are some exciting times ahead for her, and we’re looking forward to being part of her journey. She will be an asset to the Getbuzzing ambassador team and will be instrumental in the development and expansion of our range of natural energy products.”
Amy was an existing Getbuzzing aficionado before she even teamed up with them, as the bars are endorsed on her nutrition plans, supplied by Fitnaturally. Sally Pinnegar, Director of Fitnaturally, another of Amy’s sponsors, wrote Amy a bespoke nutrition plan for her Ironman race which incorporated Getbuzzing bars, fuelling her to a 10th European Championships.
Amy said: “I am honoured to be supported by Getbuzzing bars as I was an existing user of them! My nutrition is finely tuned and is 100% natural, so using a natural energy bar is really important to me. The bonus is that they taste absolutely fantastic and provide the perfect balance of slow release and fast release carbohydrates for optimum fuelling.”
Getbuzzing also sponsor Rick Kiddle Coaching, Amy’s coach, and the Thorpe Triathlon race series.
