Tri-sports retailer, Wiggle, has announced the launch of two brand-new events for 2019 as the demand for non-competitive sports events continues to grow in the UK.

The Wiggle New Forest Sportive at the end of March and the Wiggle Festival of Sport in August will see thousands of participants challenge themselves this year.

The New Forest Sportive is the first of two new look Wiggle events, which combined are set to feature much more than just cycling. Starting and finishing at the stunning Pylewell Park on Saturday 30th March, the sportive will be suitable for cyclists of all abilities to test themselves on one of the three fully supported new routes that span 38, 80 and 102 miles.

Wiggle experts, mechanics and ride ambassadors will be on-hand throughout the day to talk all things bikes and to help with any mechanical issues. Wiggle will also be providing masseurs to iron out any muscular fatigue that riders may have and an official event photographer to capture riders in action as they eat up the miles.

The Wiggle Festival of Sport will see three action-packed days of sport, across the 23rd, 24th and 25th August including sportives, open water swimming and trail running. With a schedule designed to specifically support serious triathlon training there’ll be the opportunity to swim up to 2 miles, cycle 112 miles and run a full or half marathon over the three days. All pursuits will have multiple routes including child friendly distances to ensure the Festival of Sport will be fun for the whole family.

Those who want to enjoy three full days of sport will be able to camp at the festival, which will give them access to Yoga, Zumba, Sports Therapists and Nutritionists. As well as sporting events, Wiggle will be putting on entertainment, great food and plenty of activities for parents and children alike.

Both events will have a buzzing finish line atmosphere, with Wiggle taking the event village entertainment up a gear with music, top sports brands, locally sourced food and drink, and much more. There will also be a selection of great products available and new bike demos, so athletes will be able to pick-up their tri-sport must-haves at fantastic prices.

Entries for both events are limited so grab your start place quickly to ensure you don’t miss out. Tickets for the Wiggle New Forest Sportive go on sale on Friday 18th January here, and in early February for the Wiggle Festival of Sport, which will be available at along with the full event description. For the New Forest Sportive Wiggle is pleased to offer a 20% discount for anyone who purchases four or more tickets.

Wiggle is also encouraging carbon neutral travel by urging contestants to ride to each event or use public transport, where possible, to protect the world we live, run, swim and cycle in.

Wiggle will also be working with the New Forest National Park cycling code to ensure a great event.  For more information on this please visit:
