Professional riders from the ONE Pro Cycling team – Chris Opie and George Harper – took part in the world premiere of the latest video from The Sufferfest at David Lloyd Leisure in Raynes Park.

David Lloyd Leisure is the first national chain in the UK to launch the workout series, following the launch of the video-based indoor cycling programme earlier this year.

The Sufferfest, consisting of some the most challenging training videos in the world, will be available in 19 David Lloyd Leisure clubs by the end of 2015.

The Sufferfest has been developed by world-class cycling coaches and is driven by synchronised soundtracks, creative story lines and officially licensed footage from the world’s biggest races.

The videos feature on-screen instructions, enabling instructors to engage more with participants and provide individualised coaching.

The classes can also be run virtually without an instructor, allowing members to utilise the programme even during non-scheduled class times.

The newest video, The Best Thing in the World, is a 47-minute, high-intensity interval workout, designed by cycling coach Grant Holicky of Apex Coaching, to develop strength, speed and power among cyclists of all levels.

The video features licensed footage from the Gent-Wevelgem and Amstel Gold races, the latest program adds a new kind of high intensity workout to the Sufferfest collection.
