Phew Cycling are now sponsoring successful RAF Triathletes Flight Lieutenant Ben Terry and Flying Officer Lynsey Carveth.

Both athletes took up the sport around two years ago. Just one year later Ben qualified to represent Team GB at the 2015 World Triathlon Age Group Championship in Chicago where he competed in all three events over four days. He secured silver in the Sprint Distance race, was placed fourth in the Aquathlon and tenth in the Standard Distance. These results secured him pre-qualification for this year’s World Triathlon Age Group Championships in Cozumel, Mexico.

Ben and Lynsey spent the winter developing a strong fitness base that included attending the RAF Triathlon team’s overseas training camp in Mallorca.

This season they were both crowned RAF Triathlon Standard Distance Champions in June and as the RAF Triathlon Team Managers, led both their respective teams to Inter Service victory.

They headed off to Cozumel this month for the World Championships, where Ben finished tenth in his age group and eighth place in the Sprint Distance race.

Lynsey also represented Team GB in Cozumel where she finished 23rd in her age group and 17th in the Sprint Distance race. Excellent results for both, especially considering the scorching 35 degree heat!
